Testimonials.

I asked some of my customers to describe their experience of our services and these are the replies...

"I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my bus. Friendly & knowledgeable advice from someone who clearly has a passion for anything aircooled." Richard, Norwich

"Thanks for the excellent job you did on my camper recently. It was the best service I've had for years and it has been running really sweetly ever since. I always like to know I am getting work done by a real VW enthusiast!"

Martin, Cambs
"My 72 bay van was running terribly, no pull and the brakes were awful. My previous mechanic told me I had no compression and needed a new engine - Steve reset the tappets correctly, sorted out the brakes, set the tracking and camber and told me exactly what he had done. Now, the van feels completely different and drives like a dream. Really pleased with his work and will be using him in the future." Stuart, Cambs
"I was working on an extensive restoration of my '71 bay, but two years in and without a garage I realised I needed help. Steve came for a look and gave a very good price for replacing most of the bottom 6". Throughout the job, I received regular updates, and photos of progress. This was really useful, particularly when we found other things that needed doing. There was no way I could have done all that work on my driveway. Its obvious he's good at what he does and because he is an enthusiast he cares about doing it right. Post sales service is also good - he keeps bugging me about my progress! Would recommend Steve no hesitation!" Shane, Cambridge
"I have had a problem with an oil light coming on ever since putting in a replacement VEGE engine. I saw every specialist in the area and the problem went unresolved for 5 years.  Finally I came across Steve at Z'ds.  He scratched his head and puzzled it out before lifting a spanner.  And sure enough when the cases were cracked open - there it was - one kinked oil pick-up grommet. Quite brilliant!" Ian, Cambs
"I've had my bus for eight years, and over that time I've learned to do pretty much everything mechanical myself. The one thing I have never got the hang of is bodywork. Living in Norfolk, there are not many places to have bodywork repair done, and of the few times I've had work done in the past, the work has not always lived up to my expectations. My bus was leak free until a couple of summers ago, when the windscreen got broken.  While Autoglass were replacing the windscreen I noticed a number of rust holes in the surround beneath the seal and the inevitable happened – I had a leak each time it rained. Knowing that replacing the windscreen surround was beyond my capabilities, I looked around for someone to do the work. I learned of Zed's Bus Garage on the JustKampers forum, and having met Steve at a Techenders event previously, I decided to go and have a look at his workshop. There was some serious restoration projects underway in his garage, and the work looked very fastidious - panels lined up perfectly, and quality panels had been used. I asked Steve for a quote, and we agreed to get the work done. I lead a very busy life, and it looked like it would be difficult for me to drop the bus off and pick it up in the same week, but Steve offered to drive the bus back to my place once the work was complete, so this sounded ideal, and a massive help. Once work was underway, I received email updates of the work, with pictures showing what was being done. At the weekend I returned home to find my camper parked up, looking great - Steve had blended in the new paint wonderfully, and I was very happy with the results. The best results, however, were when I opened the door, and noted no puddles on the floor, even though it had been raining heavily all day. In my letterbox was an invoice, for the amount we had agreed upon. I was surprised - my previous experiences with garages is that invoices are always 20-50% more than the quotation due to "unforeseen issues". The bus has been leak free ever since. I will be returning the bus to Steve over the winter, as the bottoms of my doors and sliding door are in a bad state, and I know that once again I'll be putting the bus into good hands.

Many thanks  Steve, and keep up the good work!"
